The Breakup of Yugoslavia
There was a series of political upheavals and conflicts during the early 1990's. Bosnia broke apart in between 1992-1995. After the communist victory during WW2, Yugoslavia was divided into six separate republics. Borders were drawn along ethnic and historical lines: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Macedonia.
